Yves Telemak is widely recognized as one of Haiti's best living sequin flag makers. He lives in the Bel Air neighborhood of Port-au-Prince and was one of the first sequin artists to support himself and his family solely through his art. He maintains a large atelier and was the first artist to sign his work. His flags are distinguished by their wide geometric borders and vibrant colors. His work is extremely well crafted and he has produced museum-quality pieces. He produces work that has beautiful symmetry. Indeed, the symmetry is gorgeous but not a "fearful symmetry" that one sometimes finds in the work of a flag maker like Eviland Lalanne.
